June 24, 2026 Performing Arts Committee

The Performing Arts Committee approved its FY 2026-27 work plan with amendments, reorganizing community connection items (participation in council neighborhood meetings, Art & Wine Festival review, and Make Music Day) into subitems and adding a new client impact report and a 35th anniversary line item. Staff announced the 35th anniversary celebration was moved to January 2027 due to a main stage floor replacement, and members discussed strategies for community outreach, targeting younger audiences, and youth engagement. The committee also planned a tour of the Lesher Center in Walnut Creek and shared positive feedback from the recent volunteer appreciation dinner.
